System Operations Training Course Outline

Course Objectives

  • Navigate user manuals and troubleshoot system error messages effectively
  • Execute proper startup and shutdown procedures for laser systems and ancillary equipment
  • Operate laser equipment through console interfaces and peripheral devices
  • Select and process laser job files using original parameters
  • Optimize laser recipes to enhance processing efficiency and quality
  • Understand maintenance schedules and key component lifecycles

Prerequisites

  • Technical background with CNC operation experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows operating system
  • Basic knowledge of CAD drawings and image files

Note: Training services included with equipment orders cover standard course materials according to current schedules. Enrollment is subject to availability, with courses typically conducted at our training facilities. Participants are responsible for travel expenses and must comply with all safety regulations during training sessions.

Course Objectives

  • Independently design process drawings, import files, and create lasing job files
  • List common industrial material, laser pre-and-post processing, and additive
  • List commonly used quality control test equipment
  • Find and apply the quality improvement recipe by analyzing the lasing mechanism
  • Find and apply cycle time improvement point by understanding the performance limits
  • List common laser equipment trouble shooting actions

Requirements

  • General technical grounding and experience of CNC if equipment configuration applicable
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating System
  • Basic understanding of CAD drawings and raster images if applicable

Training Program

  • Introduction to the laser source, beam delivery design, wavelength absorption of the workpiece material
  • Introduction to the common equipment testing methods
  • Introduction to workpiece substrate material and common surface treatment
  • Introduction to laser power density and energy density influence processing quality
  • Introduction to cycle time composition and improvement paths
  • Geometric shapes drawing in LAS software, and 3rd party drawing files import
  • Creation of lasing job files ion LAS software and database connection or automation control
  • Trial run of the lasing job on metal or typical plastics
  • Trial run of the optimized automation synchronization if applicable

Course materials (will be handed out):

  • Advanced Application Trial course folder
  • Notebook and pen

To be provided by participants:

  • Suitable Work clothes
  • Safety shoes with steep toe caps
  • DFX or DWG files on storage medium if desired
Note When including training in your LMS order, LMS standard training course(s) including all course materials in accordance with its current schedule. Enrollment of purchaser’s employees shall be in specific scheduled courses and shall be determined by space availability. Unless otherwise stated in the order, all training courses shall be conducted at the LMS facilities or the LMS vendor’s facility as the case may be. LMS will designate the specific equipment loaded at its facility, which will be utilized during the training course. The purchaser shall be responsible for all travel, lodging, and living expenses of its employees attending the Control Laser Corp. training course(s); and shall indemnify and save LMS harmless against all claims for physical damage to property and personal injuries, including death, which are caused by or resulting from acts or omissions of the purchaser’s employees while on the premise of LMS.
